چکیده

For a class of 2-Person 0-sum repeated games with incomplete information, Aumann/Masch. ler 119671 and Stearns [1967] have given a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of v (the value of the infinitely repeated game). Mertens/Zamir [19711 and Mertens [1971/72] have given the formula (and thus proved the existence) of lim Vn, the limit of the values of the n . .+ ~ games with n repetitions, for a much larger class of games than that treated by Aumann/Maschler and Stearns. In this paper we extend the Aumann-Maschler-Stearns results to the larger family of games studied by Mertens [ 1971 /721.

The value of two-person zero-sum repeated games with incomplete information and uncertain duration

It is known that the value of a zero-sum infinitely repeated game with incomplete information on both sides need not exist [1]. It is proved that any number between the minmax and the maxmin of the zero-sum infinitely repeated game with incomplete information on both sides is the value of the long finitely repeated game where players’ information about the uncertain number of repetitions is asy...

Stochastic Games: Existence of the Minmax

The existence of the value for stochastic games with finitely many states and actions, as well as for a class of stochastic games with infinitely many states and actions, is proved in [2]. Here we use essentially the same tools to derive the existence of the minmax and maxmin for n-player stochastic games with finitely many states and actions, as well as for a corresponding class of n-person st...

Bayesian Games on a Maxmin Network Router

In this paper, we consider network games with incomplete information. In particular, we apply a game-theoretic network model to analyze Bayesian games on a MaxMin router. The results show that the MaxMin mechanism induces desirable Nash equilibria.

Absorbing Games with a Signalling Structure

The perfect monitoring assumption is replaced by a signalling structure that models, for each player, the information about the opponent’s previous action. The value of a stochastic game may not exist any more. For the class of absorbing games, we are able to show the existence of the maxmin and the minmax. The value does not exist if they are different.

Reputation and Perfection in Repeated Common Interest Games*

We consider a wide class of repeated common interest games perturbed with one-sided incomplete information: one player (the informed player) might be a commitment type playing the Pareto dominant action. As discounting, which is assumed to be symmetric, and the prior probability of the commitment type go to zero, it is shown that the informed player can be held close to her minmax payoff even w...
